One clipboard. Every device you own.

Text, images, and files, end-to-end encrypted. No account needed.

Features

Your system clipboard — now cross-platform, searchable, and end-to-end encrypted.

01 — Five platforms

Copy once, paste on all five.

Desktop and mobile run the same sync engine, so your phone is never a second-class device.

  • 01Three desktopsMac, Windows, and Linux — fast to launch, light on resources, living in the menu bar or tray.
  • 02iOS & Android appsiOS in public beta on TestFlight; Android as a direct download.
  • 03LAN-only when you want itOne switch keeps all traffic on your local network and turns the relay off.

02 — Privacy first

The relay only sees ciphertext.

Content is encrypted before it leaves your device and decrypted only on yours. Keys never leave the system keyring.

  • 01End-to-end encryptedXChaCha20-Poly1305 AEAD — encrypted in transit and at rest.
  • 02No cloud accountNo email, no phone number. Devices pair by exchanging a public key.
  • 03Auditable codeAGPL-3.0 open source. Read and verify the crypto yourself.

03 — Power-user friendly

Quick Panel, full-text search, CLI — all included.

Built for people who live in their clipboard.

  • 01Quick PanelShortcut overlay with inline previews for text, links, images, code, and files.
  • 02Local full-text searchSearch tens of thousands of entries in milliseconds. The index stays encrypted on disk.
  • 03uniclip CLIEverything the GUI does, from the command line — for terminals, SSH, and scripts.

More

Other things you might want.

Familiar shortcuts
⌘C / Ctrl-C to copy, ⌘V / Ctrl-V to paste — same as always. Nothing new to learn.
Formatting stays intact
Rich text and HTML paste back in their original format, not flattened to plain text.
Sync across networks
Laptop on office Wi-Fi, phone on mobile data — still in sync. Direct connection first, encrypted relay when needed.
Self-healing
Reconnects automatically after Wi-Fi switches, sleep/wake, and brief disconnects. No re-pairing.
Text, images & files
Not just text — images and files sync too. Large files stream, so they never need to fit in memory.
Per-device sync gates
Set send/receive direction and allowed content types — text, images, files — per paired device. Lost a device? Revoke it from any other.
Real-time sync
Copy, and it's already on your other devices. Nothing to tap.
Visible sync status
Every entry shows its source device and sync status on each peer — anything that didn't arrive re-sends in one tap.
Make it yours
Configure light and dark themes independently, customize accent, background, and foreground colors, or just follow the system.

If you only use Apple devices, don't need history, and fully trust Apple's closed-source E2E encryption, iCloud is fine. The moment you add a Windows or Linux machine, want searchable history, or want to verify the encryption yourself, you need something else.
Self-hosting means running a server. UniClipboard works out of the box — there's no infrastructure to operate.
Yes. Devices on the same Wi-Fi connect directly. Turn on LAN-only Mode in Network settings and the relay and all other public services are switched off.
Only on your devices. Local storage is encrypted at rest with a key that never leaves the system keyring. No UniClipboard server ever receives or stores your clipboard content.
Yes — native iOS and Android apps that run the same sync engine as the desktop, cross-network sync included. iOS is in public beta on TestFlight; Android is a direct APK download. Rather not install an app? SyncClipboard-protocol clients work too.Get the iOS beta and Android APK on the download page →
No. AGPL only kicks in if you modify the source and then redistribute it as a network service. Installing it for personal or team use is no different from any other free app — you don't have to open-source any of your company's code.
Those are KVM-style tools: they share your mouse, keyboard, files, and notifications, and usually need a shared LAN or a VPN. UniClipboard does only the clipboard, works across the internet without a VPN, and keeps searchable history.
You don't need to — it's peer-to-peer and only falls back to an encrypted relay when a direct connection fails. If you want control, point it at your own relay or run a headless server node. The docs cover setup.

Code, write, design — paste anywhere.

Install it once on each device. After that, your clipboard follows you.
