System requirements
UniClipboard is a small desktop app. It uses very little CPU at idle and only talks to the network when you copy something.

Verify the download
Every release is signed before it ships. You can confirm authenticity locally before installing — none of the steps below need an internet connection after you have the file.
Installers are notarized by Apple. Right-click the .dmg and choose Open, or run the command below to inspect the developer signature.

Install troubleshooting
This shows up when Gatekeeper's quarantine attribute is set on the downloaded file before notarization is checked. Drag the app to /Applications, then run xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/UniClipboard.app once. Future updates installed via the in-app updater do not need this step.
If the build is brand-new, SmartScreen has not yet built reputation for that exact binary even though it is signed. Click "More info" → "Run anyway". The warning disappears within a few days for each release as install counts grow.
After downloading, mark the file executable with chmod +x UniClipboard-x86_64.AppImage and double-click it, or run it from the terminal. To register it in your application launcher, use AppImageLauncher or appimaged.
No. The snap runs in standard confinement — it only requests the interfaces it actually needs (network, home, password-manager-service). You can audit them with snap connections uniclipboard.
Run brew uninstall --cask uniclipboard. To also remove the tap entirely, follow up with brew untap uniclipboard/tap. Your local clipboard history lives in your home directory and is not removed by these commands — delete ~/Library/Application Support/UniClipboard if you want a clean slate.
